Montana - Wyoming

We couldn't get a hold of Chuck Baldwin, so we had to leave further, but it was worth going to Montana. We met Jim M. who provided a place to stay, took us to the Glacier National Park and Hungry Horse Dam. We had great fellowship together.
We left early Friday morning to Yellowstone N. P. and on the way stopped in Virginia City, a ghost town that was built in 1800s. It is very interesting to see how people lived back then. (It is maintained by a few people, to keep it a tourist attraction).

After a few hours of driving, we got to Yellowstone, and saw elk, ducks, and buffalo! A fox crossed the road when driving at night. (no picture though, too quick :)

The geysers are everywhere, steam rising in cold air from water heated by underground lava. It is an amazing, and at the same time a strange sight! Old Faithful is scheduled every 50 minutes or so, and we got to see it erupt.   The water is nice and warm a few hundred feet from it.

A little adventure: We were planning to spend Friday night in Sheridan and go the next day to Mt. Rushmore. However, our car's transmission decided it has had enough of it, [18 hrs], and refused to pull us up the mountains. The weather was dry but below freezing temperatures. It was total darkness [midnight], cold and no cars were passing by. No cell phone reception either. But we knew we are in God's hand. So we waited half hour until car cooled down and drove slowly another 5 min until it stopped pulling again. Next town was about 50 miles away. After waiting another hour, we drove again for a few minutes, and as transmission started to skip again, the road started to descend, and we rolled down the slight slope for another 15 miles, until we're happy to see a mountain resort/inn in the middle of nowhere, next to the road. We stopped there for the night.
In the morning we drove downhill to the town Sheridan, where we added a solution to the transmission fluid to grip better, the problem seemed to worsen. The car would drive only 30 mph and not speed up. We prayed and after looking at options (to buy a used car, fix this one, or rent another car for the rest of the journey) we decided to drive toward Denver at whatever speed we could. The car drove much better, so we stopped only twice for half an hour to let the fluids cool down. By God's grace, we are now in Denver, Colorado at friends' house. Thank God for His providence and protection. Please continue to pray for us.

We will rent or fix our car here and go further, Lord willing. Thank you all for your support.
