Our desire is that God will be glorified in our lives. We are a new family. Please pray for us as we are beginning our journey together.

Denver, Colorado 1

We are joyful to be with our friends and fellowship together with them. Our car's transmission showed signs of total wear and we realized we needed to replace it. The Lord provided for us, we found on craigslist a transmission for the exact model and a mechanic to do it for a very good price. Our Accord is back on the road.

We visited the Denver Nature & Science museum on the free day. It has a wide variety of features. The display of stuffed animals was amazing!

The view of Denver down town from the museum window. The tiny dots on the grass are geese.

On the way out, we both got to hold the big tarantula spider. Its hairy legs are very tender.
But don't try it at home if you see one. :)

We spent a night at Kevin Swanson's house and had good fellowship with his family and the interns of the Shepherd center. They have two beautiful kittens.

Generations Radio recording studio, in the basement.

We did a session on the Slavic immigrants in America.

Meal times are a great time for good discussions.

A few photos from the Proshlyak household. This is Marie, Ana and Tim making pelmeni.

It snowed 9 inches of snow here but now is melting away. It's typical for the region.

The grave of Buffalo Bill. The little plaque at the bottom says that he was a master mason.

Historic Georgetown. Marie with Sofia.

Posing by the Red Rocks. In Colorado, (which means, 'red color') every thing is truly red. The sunsets, the soil, the rocks are red, even the wood chips are red. Even the pavement is red in some places.

We are grateful to God for His protection and blessing on us in this trip. We are missing Sacramento and our families and friends already!
Thanks for your support!

  1. Thanks for another post! So what have you been learning so far from meetings all these people, you two love birds? ;-)

  2. :) One of the things we learned (or was striking to observe and see the common thread) is: The BEST way of learning is by IMITATION. The best way of teaching is MODELING. Info transfer never works well. Teach your kids to love learning and to teach themselves, and they'll be well off.

    :)
